I know Father's Day is over and he deserves this post from me. Since 3 months ago, i've neglected my father alot. I refused to listen to him. I was closer to my mum cause she was much more understanding and gave me the freedom i've always wanted.
But I know that deep down, there's alot about my father that I don't know of. He may seem obnoxious. Seriously, he farts alot, he eats alot and in a greedy manner, he snores so loudly! But I know, it's those noises that makes this house, a home. He works hard, really hard to ensure that his family gets to live a good life. He works 7 days a week. Part-time taxi driver on the weekends. Just for extra income.
He always cared to listen when I had something to voice out about. He wanted our family to be together. He wanted to be closer to his wife as they get older but my mum has a different perspective. To her, when they grow older, it's okay to be apart. My mum said, "The only reason I don't want to be very close to him is to prepare myself. We're both getting old. You know what I mean?"
I don't know what else to say, I love you ayah.
I really do. And ibu too. And abang. Please be strong and stay.
